London based Bridge Models has opened an office in the U.S., with a focus on plus size male models, influencers and artists. The New York based division is specifically looking for male models, so if you’ve ever had aspirations of becoming one, this could be your opportunity.
Bridge was founded in 2014 and began representing plus size male models in 2016. In the ensuing years, agency directors Charlotte Griffiths and Beth Willis Haviland watched as the men’s side of the industry continued to grow and wanted to make the most of the opportunity. “We have a responsibility to equally represent men just as well as women in the industry, and with more and more cases of young boys developing eating disorders and body issues, now is the time to show these generations that fashion brands do recognise them and want to represent them.”
Bridge represents models like Thaddeus Coates who has worked with American Eagle and Target’s Goodfellow & Co, and Kelvin Davis, who has worked with Target, Gap, DXL and was one of the gents featured in that awesome Swimsuits For All x KingSize body positive summer campaign earlier this month. On the artist and influencer side of things, Bridge represents actor and comedian Daniel Franzese, and Jamie Morrison, drummer for Stereophonics.
Bridge is officially scouting for new plus size male models of all ethnicities shapes and sizes who are passionate about fashion. and there are two ways you can apply:
Apply in person by attending one of the casting days being announced on the Bridge Models Instagram page. According to IG, the next city they plan to visit is Seattle. If you want to attend, you can apply at [email protected] for more detailed information.
