Earlier this year, we told you about BRIC, the clothing brand Kemdi Anosike started to offer “premium clothing for men who don’t fit into traditional sizes.” Anosike launched the collection with a super luxurious sweater. Now he’s taking aim at another wardrobe staple: the big & tall t-shirt.
Naming your t-shirt The Perfect Tee is a bold declaration, but BRIC is bringing the goods to back it up. Made for 100% pima cotton, these tees are extra-soft and breathable enough to be worn year round. The t-shirts fit true to size and much like the brand’s sweaters, are made to last. You’ll find 3 colors available with prices from $48.
BRIC offers options for both big and tall customers, with big sizes from 2X to 5X and XT to 4XT. In my sweater review, I mentioned that as a short and wide guy, I found the 3X to offer a length and fit that was perfect for me. The same attention to design was put into development of BRIC’s t-shirts, resulting in a great fit for different body types. Here’s what Anosike told us in our February interview:
We are obsessed with our products and fit. We went through so many fittings and testing to ensure we came up with the right size chart. Our products are tested on real humans and our sizing is customized for the different heights and shapes that represent the majority of men who fall into “extended” sizing.
Like many extended size brands, BRIC grew out of Anosike’s frustration with finding clothes that fit. Sweaters were a particular pain point for him, which is why BRIC launched with a full-zip and half-zip sweater. The launch of the Perfect Tee is part of BRIC’s plan to continue to grow and add more products to their collection.
