One of the cool things about a Birchbox subscription is that you never really know which products are going to be in the box you receive. The December Box includes a ton of options, and mine was filled with English Laundry Eau de Parfum, Proraso Shaving Cream, moisturizer, hair product, and a travel candle. As you can see from the photos, some of the items are travel size, and some of them, like the English Laundry, will last for a while. It’s a great way to try out products you might not be sure about (or might not want to spend full price on).
If you really dig a specific product, you can go back to the shop and pick up more, or in some cases, get a larger size version of a product. For someone like me, who tends to stick with the same few products for years and years, Birchbox helps me branch out a bit.
Buy from the Birchbox Store or Get a Subscription?
You can pick up any of the products in the Birchbox store individually, or start a subscription. Here’s their gift subscription pricing :
3 Month Subscription – $60
6 Month Subscription- $110
1 Year Subscription – $195
The box I have would have cost close to $150 to put together on your own, so if you’re interested in giving (or getting) goodies long-term, a subscription gives you the best bang for your buck.
