Target is celebrating two decades of iconic brand collaborations with their upcoming 20th Anniversary Collection, featuring around 300 customer favorite products from past partnerships. Starting September 14th, you’ll be able to buy apparel, home and kitchen products from design partners like Isaac Mizrahi, Michael Graves Design, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Missoni, Hunter and more. There’s only one problem: there are no big & tall sizes available in the collection.
At the time of writing, at least 9 brands are offering women’s plus apparel to size 3XL and 22W. The largest men’s size in the collection, however, is XXL. Some of the brands offering women’s plus sizes also sell men’s clothing, but they don’t offer any equivalent sizing.
It’s important to note that some of the brands offering plus sizes as part of the collection don’t sell those sizes directly through their own websites. These sizes seem to be specifically created for the Target collection, so why don’t we see anything extended on the men’s side? I asked Target’s support team about this and was told that sizing is a merchandiser decision.

According to Target’s blog, XXL is as big as it’s going to get: Prices range from $7 to $160 and will be offered in sizes XS-3X for women, S-XXL for men, XS-XL for kids and 0-3M-5T for toddlers and babies. Why no big & tall? Well, according to demographic research, 60%+ of Target’s customer base is female, and it makes sense to cater your products to your base.
While it doesn’t look like we’ll get any big & tall clothing in Target’s 20th Anniversary Collection, there are other things worth picking up.
Hunter for Target: I was a big fan of Target’s 2018 collaboration with Hunter, so it’s great to see it come back with a focus on great looking, weather-resistant bags, backpacks and totes. The Backpack Cooler and the Weekender are two standout pieces that will be available for $50 and $40 respectively.
