Skims men's plus size launches today

Skims Launches Men’s Collection with Sizes to 5XL

Skims, Kim Kardashian’s clothing brand, is launching its long-awaited men’s collection today, with sizes available to 5X. The new line is kicking things off with a selection of t-shirts, underwear, and socks. We took a closer look at Skims men’s plus size offerings. Read more below.

Why launch a men’s collection?

According to an interview with GQ, guys have been asking for a men’s version of Skims for years. Kardashian says many men have been introduced to the brand after “[hearing] their girlfriends or their wives or loved ones talking about Skims.” After releasing a Boyfriend Collection, they saw interest from men begin to increase. This lead to three years of development of the collection launching today.

What’s available in Skims big & tall?

Skims men’s plus size collection is launching with the basics: underwear, socks, tees and tanks, and leggings. Customers can choose from Skims Cotton (a traditional cotton blend), Skims Stretch (a lightweight fabric with built-in stretch), or Skims Sport (offering light compression, perfect for wearing beneath workout gear).

Skims big and tall will debut with five neutral colors, similar to what the brand offers in women’s clothing.

A focus on sizing

Most brands launching men’s clothing collections aren’t focused on extended sizes. Luckily Skims considered their bigger customers, offering men’s plus size options to 5X. A quick look at their fit guide shows that a pair of men’s 5X underwear equals a 56 to 58-inch waist. For shirts, a 5X will fit a 62 to 64-inch chest.

What about Skims men’s plus size shapewear?

Kardashian told GQ that a men’s shapewear line, also highly requested, is coming soon but not at launch. You can expect more products to be added to the overall men’s collection in the future, especially if the popularity of Skims’ women’s offerings are any indication.
