Today we’re starting a new weekly feature that will help you find clothing in your size in cities around the world. You won’t see the same old mall stores here – we focus on smaller, custom shops and boutiques that are off the beaten path. We’ll kick things off in the Pacific Northwest with Portland, Oregon.

When it comes to finding the resources to create your own style, few cities have more options than Portland, Oregon. With over 50 thrift and resale stores in the city, you’ll find quite a bit of vintage clothing. Portland is known for being fat-friendly, so that means you’ll have a much better chance of finding shops with clothing you love in sizes that actually fit you. We’ve scoured the city to bring you the best places to shop for men’s plus size clothing in Portland:

Fat Fancy Fashions
1013 SW Morrison
Portland, OR 97205
Monday – Thursday 2-7pm
Friday and Saturday 11-7pm
Sunday 12-6pm

Who they are: Fat Fancy carries modern and vintage styles for plus size men and women. From the looks of their facebook page and the photos they’ve got there, they’re having a lot of fun doing what they do. Clothing goes quickly there, so make sure this is the first place you stop.

What they offer: If you’re looking for an alternative to the Abercrombies of the world, this is the place for you. You’ll find fashions from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as well as a variety of western wear. Hats, pants, button down collared shirts – you name it and they’ve probably got it. If you like to get creative with your style be sure you take a look at Fat Fancy.
