Few men have facial hair quite as majestic as Nick Offerman, and now he’s sharing the secrets to growing his amazing mustache with those of you participating in Movember. If you’re not familiar with it, Movember is an event that takes place each November to raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Last year, the campaign raised  $126.3 Million in donations.

In order to raise that vital awareness, the people participating in Movember begin Nov 1st with a clean-shaven face, and let the hair grow throughout the month. As you grow your mustache, you can style, wax, and yes – trim it to look however you want it to. If you’re signed up and doing something outstanding with your newly grown facial hair, you might just win a prize.

You can develop your mustache like Offerman has, having it combed by Tibetan monks, and tamed by sheep herders, then dryed over a campfire of peat and turf…or you can just shave on November 1st and let it go.
