Holten Big & Tall Men's Clothing

Holten Launches With Shirts for Big & Tall and Big & Short Guys

Update: According to a post to their private Facebook group, Holten has shut down. Find big & tall shirts in your size in the Chubstr Shop.

Many companies producing big and tall clothing aren’t making it with bigger bodies in mind. Brands like Bonobos are thinking about sizing and fit, but they are relatively rare in the market. Newly launched big and tall clothing brand Holten not only spent over a year designing their shirts with bigger fit models, they also created an invitation-only group to ensure they got it exactly right. This resulted in shirts that work for a variety of big and tall body types.

Big & Tall Shirts for Many Body Types

With Holten, the focus is on fit. You can customize their t-shirts to fit your body in several ways. Are your big and tall tees usually too short? Customize the length from short, regular or tall. For those of us who have problems finding shirts that fit in the stomach and/or chest, Holten gives you the option of adding a side panel for more girth in the midsection.

Sizing for Big, Tall and Short Guys

Because of the customization options Holten offers, bigger customers of many shapes and sizes will find a shirt that fits. Taller folks can shop from 1XT -6XT. Shorter people can shop from 1XS to 6XS. If you’re sporting an “average” big guy build, you’ll find a 1XR – 6XR to fit your needs. It’s rare that a brand is catering to different big and tall body types in this way.

Built With Input From Bigger People

When I first spoke with Holten Founder and CEO Jed Seigle in February 2018, he was already hard at work building the brand. We talked about his plan to make clothes that addressed the challenges bigger guys have finding a shirt that fits well. Jed did something that a lot of established brands still don’t do well: he listened to his target customer, learning their likes and dislikes, and needs. Jed and Holten took this customer interaction a step further by creating a closed group of “insiders” who shared their thoughts and gave input that helped shape the final product.

What Else Can We Expect From Holten?

Inevitably, people are already asking if Holten plans to do anything other than t-shirts. According to Jed, the answer is yes. The goal is to launch these products, ensure the fit is right, and then branch out to other products.
