Good Counsel’s entire process is built around you. When you sign up and create your Style Profile, you’ll share information about your tastes, lifestyle, budget, sizing, even fit challenges. This info helps your stylist understand what you need so they can put the right stuff in the box they send you. Decide whether you want to receive a box monthly, or on-demand and your stylist gets to work.
TIP: You can build a relationship with your stylist – they’re a real human! Share your likes, dislikes, and needs. This helps your stylist get you the right items the very first time.
You’ll be charged a $30 styling fee when your stylist selects items to send you. That $30 will be applied as a credit toward anything you decide to keep. Within a few days, you’ll get a notification with tracking info, and a box full of premium, high quality basics will be on its way to your door.
The fun begins when the Good Counsel box arrives at your door. The box will include 4-5 hand-selected combinations of clothes, shoes, and/or accessories, depending on your needs. Make sure you try everything on. You can even mix and match Good Counsel pieces with things you already have in your closet to create new looks. Send back whatever you don’t want with the included prepaid return label – you’re only charged for the items you keep.
Find something you love but it doesn’t quite fit? You can easily exchange it for a size that does. With sizes ranging from M to 10XL, chances are, Good Counsel can accommodate your needs.
My Good Counsel big & tall box included just about everything I needed to put together two unique looks. One look was a bit more business casual, with a button down shirt, khaki pants, and a jacket. The other look included a stylish sweater, a flannel shirt, jeans, and a jacket. They also threw in a pack of socks and a Good Counsel hat, to top things off.
The button down shirts gave me room and comfort in all the right places while still offering a modern cut. I loved that the sweater fit so well, even with a button down and an undershirt beneath it. Of all the items in my Good Counsel box, the jeans were the biggest surprise. They looked great, fit well and offered a ton of stretch for comfort, which means they will accommodate several body types. I could see them becoming part of my regular rotation.
