Most companies designing big & tall clothing are not doing it with bigger bodies in mind. In the first part of our 3 part series premiere of Behind the Brand, I travel to JCPenney Headquarters in Plano, Texas to learn how they put together the new Foundry Big & Tall Supply Company collection for fall.
I sit down with members of the JCPenney Foundry team to find out where they got the inspiration for the fall big and tall line. We talk about fit, creating the designs and how the each member of the team approaches the unique challenge of designing for “nontraditional” bodies.
We also get to see how initial sketches turn into finished designs that are sent off to become samples that will be modified for an even better fit. You’ll start to understand how the Foundry Big & tall Supply Company’s fall collection puts more focus on interesting prints and modern fits than ever before.
