This week’s question comes from Stephanie:
Are there any online personal stylist websites for plus size men? Asking for a friend!
While there aren’t a lot of personal stylist/subscription box services catering to plus size people, there are a few offering extended size clothing. They run the spectrum of styles and prices and you can find them all below.
We’ve reviewed the JCPenney Bombfell box in the past – it’s a personal stylist service from Bombfell offering big & tall clothing from (you guessed it) JCPenney. You’ll find sizes to 5X & 60 waist. If you like what JCPenney’s Foundry line has to offer, you’ll like this box. Of course, the Bombfell box isn’t limited to Foundry – you can get clothing from other big & tall lines JCP carries as well.
Prices for the JCPenney Bombfell Box range around $39/item plus the $20 stylist fee (you’ll have a stylist assigned to you who will help you find what you need). Use this link to waive your first styling fee.
Stitch Fix has been around for years, offering their personal stylist service for women’s clothing. Now they’re doing men’s clothing with sizes to 3XL and 48 waist. The signup questionnaire here is fun and in-depth enough to really get your needs (and your style) from the beginning.
Prices start around $25 per item (plus the $20 styling fee), but the styles found here might be a bit more your speed than some of the other boxes. This one is worth a look! Try the Stitchfix Men’s Box here.
Trunk Club is another personal stylist/subscription box service that has been around for what seems like ages. Since being purchased by Nordstrom, the company has expanded its offerings and its size range. You’ll find tops to 3X and pants to 44 waist. Trunk Club offerings are most similar to what you’d find at Stitch Fix, but higher end and more expensive. Clothing items here range from $40 – $300, depending on what you’re looking for. Give Trunk Club a try for yourself.
The Winston Box Big & Tall Clothing Subscription Box
The Winston Box is the first subscription box service to cater exclusively to the big and tall customer. You’ll find sizes available to 6X and 64 waist. Here’s how it works: get 2-3 items per month for $75. Keep what you like, exchange what you don’t. They’re doing some interesting things as far as styles go. Watch as we visit The Winston Box headquarters in the first episode of Sized Up!
Maximus Box Big & Tall Clothing Subscription Box
Though there’s been some recent radio silence on their end when it comes to social media, Maximus Box still seems to be up and running. They have 3 set monthly tiers – $69, $99 and $139/mo. The more you pay, the more clothing and accessories you get.
There you have it – a few big & tall clothing subscription box services to choose from. Hopefully that helps you get some looks you’ll love in the sizes you need.
