In earlier this year, we introduced you to Wide the Brand, a Canadian big & tall brand making well-constructed, stylish clothes to 6XL. Tonight, folks in Canada can watch company co-founder Mahrzad Lari pitch Wide the Brand on Dragons’ Den, the Canadian version of Shark Tank.
According to a company press release, Wide the Brand wants to change the big & tall clothing game:
We are a team, determined to change the way plus size men’s ready-to-wear is designed, perceived and consumed. It’s time to break the silence. With garments developed in direct accordance to specific proportions, shapes and sizes, we can now officially say goodbye to the stigma around the wide man’s wardrobe and fight the many clichés surrounding it. Our fabrics stretch and move with agility, allowing for maxi- mum comfort and breathability. Our silhouettes put the Wide man first, instead of hiding him.
Wide the Brand’s current collection includes shirts, jackets, coats, pants, and even jumpsuits. Shop their current line at their website, and catch Mahrzad Lari on tonight’s episode of Dragons’ Den here. Not based in Canada? No problem! Catch the highlights on the Dragons’ Den Facebook page.
