FX is bringing What We Do in the Shadows, the 2014 vampire mockumentary by Jermaine Clement and Taika Waititi to the small screen, and Chubstr favorite Harvey Guillen is set to star, along with Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, and Natasia Demetriou.

The film focused on a group of vampires living together and dealing with the tedium of everyday life in New Zealand. Not much is known about Guillen’s character, named Guillermo, but Novak will be playing the part of Nandor, the head vampire.

According to Guillen, being cast in the role was a quick process. “The whole thing came out of going to a wine and cheese night! A friend connected me with someone who was part of with the production, I auditioned, then 12 hours later I was testing for the role.” The pilot will shoot in February.

You also can catch Harvey in tonight’s episode of Syfy’s The Magicians, reprising his role as royal mapmaker Benedict Pickwick, and he tells us he’s excited about what’s to come in this 3rd season. “Just wait until you see episode 6 of season 3. I feel so lucky to be able to play the character.”
