This collection of prose and poetry explores the intersection of fatness and queerness, featuring queer and trans writers from around the world. If you’re looking for stories of support, inspiration and empowerment from an often unheard perspective, you need this book.
Marvel Studios’ Loki – Disney+
Everybody’s favorite trickster god is back in the latest of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe TV Shows. Loki picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame, showing us where Loki went when he absconded with the tesseract. Featuring Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku and more.
Doomin’ Sun, by Bachelor (Jay Som & Palehound)
The debut project from Jay Som and Palehound is one of my favorite albums of the year so far. Apparently, the duo rented a house in Topanga, set up, and recorded the 10 tracks on this album. The result is a memorable indie romp. Check out the video for Stay in the Car above.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – PS5
If you’ve been lucky enough to get your hands on a PS5, the latest installment of the Ratchet & Clank series exclusively drops on the console June 11th. The platformer uses the muscle of the PS5 hardware, high quality production, and a surprisingly compelling story to bring players in and keep them there. This game shows us what can be accomplished with these next-gen systems, and it’s pretty exciting.
Cacamamie – the #2 Game in America
Cacamamie is a game about – you guessed it – poop. The game combines trivia, charades, voting and more with info about poop in history, science, pop culture. It’s a fun, crappy game that’s the perfect icebreaker for all your slightly awkward post-covid get-togethers.
