Canadian chef, author and personality Matty Matheson is taking his birthday celebration to the next level with Mattyfest, a food and music celebration taking place at Toronto’s RBC Echo Beach on 9/7. The festival will combine some of Matheson’s favorite restaurants and musical acts all in one place.
Headlining Mattyfest is a reunited Wu Tang Clan, out this summer on their 25 anniversary tour. Descendents, Googol Bordello and Danny Brown are also performing, among others. When it comes to food, there’s a wide selection of cuisine being represented at the festival. From Stephen Payne’s Kungfu Dawg, to the seafood comfort food of Montreal’s Le Bremner, to meats from 3 different, well-respected U.S. BBQ Pitmasters. There’s a ton of awesome dining options in one place.
Though this isn’t the first Mattyfest, it is certainly the biggest and one you shouldn’t miss if you’re in Toronto on the 7th of September.
