Man of the Week: The Big Men of the 2017 Grammy Awards

Did you catch last night’s Grammy awards? We live-tweeted the show over on Twitter. It was full of interesting performances, heartfelt acceptance speeches, and at least one bad decision.  We’re going to take a look at some of the plus size men who graced the red carpet, and the Grammys stage last night, in all manner of attire. Take a look at our list below:

James Corden

Hosting a huge awards show is a major undertaking, one that this year’s host, James Corden handled with ease. From his set malfunction/rap at the beginning of the show, to a cardboard version of Carpool Karaoke with Jennifer Lopez, (a surprisingly bearded) Neil Diamond, John Legend, even Blue Ivy, Corden seemed to be having more fun than anyone else at the show.

Simon Konecki Grammy Awards

Simon Konecki

Simon Konecki, Adele’s Husband

If you didn’t know that Adele’s husband is a big, bearded dude, you’re not alone. After 5 years together, the singer tied the knot with Simon Konecki, Father of her child and seemingly all-around good guy. Successful in his own right, Konecki is the founder of Life Water and the charity drop4drop, which is dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to developing countries around the world.

Pat Corcoran, Chance the Rapper’s Manager

If you caught our live tweets yesterday, you saw me post a photo of Chance the Rapper on the red carpet talking to reporters while a long haired gentleman of size stood behind him. It turns out that said gent is Chance’s manager, Pat Corcoran. Corcoran, who went to school to become a psychologist before dropping out to manage the rapper full time, has been with Chance since he was playing small clubs in the midwest. With seven nominations, three Grammy wins (all with no major label or physical album assistance), and a 40-city tour coming up, it looks like Corcoran made the right decision.

What did you think about these guys? Did you see any other plus size men that we missed? Tell us in the comments below!
