Have you seen Mindhunter, the Netflix series about the beginnings of the FBI’s serial crime unit yet?. If so, you already know about the best performance in a show filled with them: actor Cameron Britton as real life serial killer Edmund Kemper. It is hands down the most unnerving performance I’ve seen all year and I mean that in the best way possible.

Britton embodied Kemper, creating an imposing figure who was willing to nonchalantly discuss the horrifying crimes he committed, the same way a normal person would discuss the weather. He created a memorable character that will stay with you long after you finish the season.
But what about the man himself? A quick look at his Instagram page reveals a funny, pet-loving guy who (thankfully) is nothing like the character he plays in Mindhunter.
It was just announced that Britton will appear in the sequel to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, called The Girl in the Spider’s Web, in theaters October 19th, 2018. According to Variety, he’ll be playing “a close associate of Lisbeth — a computer expert to whom she reaches out when she needs assistance.”
Still not enough for you? Watch all 3 seasons of the recently cancelled Freeform show, Stitchers, about a young woman who is recruited into a secret government agency to be “stitched” into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders. Britton plays Tim, head of the engineering department.
Based on his stellar performance in Mindhunter, I think we can expect to see Cameron Britton in more films and TV shows in the near future. Follow him on IG at @cameronbrittonh.
