Comedian Ian Abramson believes in suffering for his craft, something made abundantly clear during his appearance on Conan Monday night. Just over a minute into his set, Abramson donned a shock collar and gave the remote to an audience member. If she didn’t like a joke, she could give him a nice jolt.
Luckily, Abramson is pretty good, so he didn’t spend the entire set writhing in pain. Follow Ian Abramson on Twitter at @ianabramson, and watch the video above to see the entire Conan set, shocks and all.
Bonus: Check out Ian Abramson on Comedy Central’s 7 Minutes in Purgatory, a show that puts comics alone in the back of a truck doing their act, while the audience watches from a different room.
