Actor Harvey Guillen

Harvey Guillen Nominated for 2021 Critic’s Choice Award

There wasn’t a lot for most of us to do last year, what with a raging pandemic, businesses closed, and working from home being fully embraced by so millions more people. Luckily, there was a lot of good TV for us to watch. One of the bright spots was FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, which returned for its second season back in April. So bright, in fact, that actor Harvey Guillen, who plays Guillermo on the series, has been nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Guillen’s character is given a lot more to do in the second season, all of which culminates in an explosive season 2 finale. We won’t spoil it here, but if you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favor and add it to your list.

Harvey Guillen is in good company, with fellow Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series nominees such as Daniel Levy for Schitt’s Creek, and Alex Newell for Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (which is yet another show you’ll find Guillen on – this week, in fact!) Find out who wins during the awards ceremony Sunday, March 7 on The CW.
