Over the last year or so, we’ve seen a lot of music with messages of self love and positive body image hit the mainstream. From Lizzo to ABearNamedTroy, there’s a lot of interesting music out there that you should be listening to. Grant Carey’s Boys Have Curves 2 is a song that needs to be on your list.

“It’s a song about self-love, body positivity, and the people in our lives that allow us to love ourselves unconditionally. It’s also about gender and masculinity and how the dangerous, prescriptive aspects of those loaded concepts have started to do real harm in our world. I hope this song is a celebration not only of a gentler, softer masculinity, but also the notion that existing between a binary – whether that’s gender, sexuality or body image – is real, valid and beautiful.”

All funds raised from the purchase of Boys Have Curves 2 on Bandcamp will go to The Trevor Project, a leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.
