You’ve got to hand it to custom men’s clothier Indochino – they know how to create stylish looks that’ll fit a variety of tastes. Whether you’re looking for a classically styled suit, or a blazer that’ll help you stand out from the crowd, they’ve probably got what you’re looking for. Their latest outerwear collection is no exception. With more than 20 coats to choose from, you’ll be able to find exactly what you need to complete any cold weather look. In addition to the outerwear, they’ve also released a line of 100% mongolian cashmere scarves in 6 different colors.
We asked Indochino to let us try the Essential Black Military Coat and an Olive Green Mongolian Cashmere Scarf on for size, and you can see the results here.
It’s the little things that always impress me with Indochino’s products. Details you wouldn’t find in clothing you purchased elsewhere (that in some cases cost much more), you’ll find in the garments they put together. The military coat($349) is made from a blend of wool and cashmere, which looks sturdy and well put together while still feeling soft to the touch. Inside the coat, you’ll find a quilted lining that you customize with the color of your choice, as well as a few well placed pockets and a removable suede scarf loop. The neck enclosure protects against the elements, and just looks really cool with the attached metal buckle.
You can also get an optional belt if you’d like, but for big guys, I’d recommend skipping it as it has a tendency to segment your body in a way that isn’t quite as flattering.
The Mongolian cashmere scarf ($99) is a great addition, and if you’re just starting to become adventurous with colors, the fact that these scarves are all solid colors is perfect for you. Indochino guarantees that each scarf is 100% cashmere, and you can certainly tell when you wrap one around your neck; They’re warm and soft, and won’t leave your neck itchy like some lesser quality products do. Though I’m a fan of the green, you can also choose from purple, red, gray, and two shades of blue.
As we always mention when talking about Indochino, the best part about the company is that your clothing order is custom made to fit you, so you know it’ll be exactly what you’re looking for. If for some reason, you need it altered, they offer a $75 alteration credit that you can use at your local tailor. They’re doing a lot to make it easy for you to order clothing to your exact specifications.
If you’re looking for a coat for colder weather (or a gift for some other lucky gent in your life), consider Indochino’s outerwear collection for high quality, great looking clothing in the sizes you need.
Thanks Good To know!! My Son who is 15, 6ft tall at 300lbs doesn't like to go shopping cause of all the trouble we have finding him clothes. Even going shoe shopping is a chore. I buy his shoes online and pray they fit right, cause where I live the biggest shoe size any store carries is a 13. I'm glad he is not picky and doesn't care about named brand clothing.
@debrod75 If there's anything we can do to help you find your Son clothes, don't hesitate to reach out!
Target has almost nothing to fit us Plus Sized guys! I hate having to go to Walmart - but they have clothes that fit!
I'd volunteer! I'm 6'2 390 I'm a truly plus sized man! I'd be up for the challenge \U0001f60c\U0001f60a
Agreed, Gary! Our hope is that companies will see these things and feature more models of a variety of sizes.
You're right Jakob Gustav Felts, and it's something Zach touches on in the article. It's a first step, and before this, there wasn't ANYTHING in the way of male size diversity to be found there. It's our job to spotlight things like this and show these companies that we want even more models of a variety of sizes to be featured on their site and in their advertising!
I'm glad Target is making the effort, but the fact of the matter is, most guys looking for plus sized clothing don't have the slender build that he does. -_-
