Fall Favorite Shoes for $100 or Less

For me, there are two sure signs that fall has arrived: The leaves begin to change color, and the boat shoes I purchased at the beginning of summer have finally given up. Retiring those bad boys means that I’m in the market for some new shoes for fall, preferably that cost less than $100. After a bit of research, I’ve put together a list of shoes that look great and fall within that budget. See all 9 below:

The Lou, by Hush Puppies

Loafers & Slip-Ons: As a guy who appreciates a nice casual shoe, starting with a slip-on just makes sense. You’ve got the old standby, a basic men’s shoe from TOMS for $54 (sizes to 14), or you could try the Lou, from Hush Puppies (sizes to 13). If you haven’t taken a look at what Hush Puppies has to offer in a few years, you’ll most likely be pleasantly surprised with the style and variety of shoes the company is offering. The Lou is available in 6 different colors for $99.

Dress(ier) Shoes: In September, we introduced you to TOMS new line of brogues, so we won’t spend a lot of time on them here, other than to say that they’re available for $98 a pair. I do, however, want to spend some time on the Cloud Logo Boat Wingtip Oxford from Sperry Top-Sider for $100. Sperry figured out a way to take a classic shoe and modernize it in a tasteful way. This is most definitely a shoe I’ll be picking up for myself. If you want something brighter, yet more traditional from the same company, try the Color Pop Wingtip Boat Oxford, also $100.

The Eduardo, by Doc Martens

Boots for Fall: It’s not that easy to find a solid boot for $100 or less. You don’t want a shoe that’s going to fall apart after a couple months – you need a boot that’ll resist the elements and anything else you’ll throw at them. It wouldn’t hurt if they looked good, too. Dr. Martens offers the Nolen and the Eduardo for $90 and $100 respectively. The Nolen is a shorter boot with a waxy worn look that works with just about anything you’ll wear. The Eduardo is made with quilted felt and Wyoming leather, and sports a contemporary look that reminds me less of a Dr. Marten and more of a sneaker.

Sneakers: Pick up a pair of Westwood tennis shoes in pigskin suede from SeaVees for $98, with sizes to 13. For 45 sweet dollars, you can get into the Vans Canvas Authentic. With more than 40 colors to choose from and sizes to 13, you can get a pair of sneakers in the exact color you want.

Now you’ve seen 9 of our favorite fall shoes for $100 or less. Go forth and get yourself some new kicks. Have a pair you’re partial to that’s not on the list? Tell us about your favorites in the comments below.
