When many people hear the phrase “organic hemp clothing,” they probably think about clothes for hippies. Turns out, you can make more than one kind of look with the fabric. Meet Parallel Revolution, a California based clothing brand specializing in great looking organic hemp shirts. A few months ago, the company did a photo shoot with two of my favorite people – stylist extraordinaire and half of Fashion Penpals, Kat Engh, and her other half, pro photographer Rob Reeves. They wanted a bigger gent to model a shirt or two from the Parallel Revolution collection, and it just so happens that I know a few of those. Meet Randall, today’s stylish plus size male model.

Parallel Revolution puts a real focus on sustainable apparel – they use hemp to make their clothing, their buttons are made from palm nuts, and if you’re a fan of sunflowers, the tags in their clothes can be planted. Even the packaging is recycled and reusable. If that wasn’t enough, they make all of their woven products in the USA, and invest 2% of every sale to further the work of charities and nonprofit organizations. A lot of time, effort, and love goes into the creation of a Parallel Revolution shirt, and it shows.

You’ll find tees and button downs in the Parallel Revolution shop, with sizes to 2XL and prices ranging from $32 to $158, depending on the product. Need a roomier size? Contact Jake through the website and find out what’s possible. Visit their website at pararev.com, or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
