Are you a fan of strong beer and adventure? My friend, have we found the beer for you! A Scottish brewery called Brewmeister recently introduced Snake Venom, a brew they’re claiming is the strongest in the world. At 67.5% ABV, this is without a doubt, a sipping beer. According to online beer retailer, The Real Ale Company, Snake Venom is brewed with some interesting ingredients and processes in order to reach its specific strength:

This unique beer is made with a plethora of malts including peat smoked malt, acid malt and chocolate malt. It is fermented using two types of yeast – ale yeast and champagne yeast in order to deliver a higher alcohol content. It is then painstakingly freeze concentrated.

Yikes. If you’re wondering what it tastes like, Real Ale says you can expect a “nose of alcohol, whisky, and hops.” Though it seems like it could be a spirit, Brewmeister says it tastes like a beer. They make a point to let you know that you’ll taste the alcohol, unlike their previous World’s Strongest Beer, Armageddon. The brewery also added a warning label to the neck of the bottle to help ensure any drinker with the fortitude to try it out will take it slow. You don’t want to chug this one.
