A Year In Submissions: Michael, Out of His Comfort Zone

It’s Chubstr’s birthday so we’re bringing you content this week that we’ve dubbed ‘the best of the last year.’ Today, we begin a series of our favorite photo submissions from our first year. We love getting submissions here and on our Tumblr. What’s more, we love sharing those submissions with you not only to show the many ways you all find to show your style, but to provide inspiration as you create your looks.

We begin this series with a photo we received from Michael back in August. Michael was tapped to model for a friend’s photography class, and while he claimed it was out of his comfort zone, we think the final result was worth sharing again.

We like the simplicity of this particular style. The addition of a flat cap and vintage leather jacket proves a simple way to add a little personality and flair to jeans and a basic black shirt.

We particular like that Michael isn’t afraid to mix black and brown. And while winter is winding down, a leather jacket might not seem like a great idea, but if you choose a nice light leather, it can prove to be the perfect shield against any spring chills.
