Thing of the Week: Dave Grohl, iTunes, and a Butterdance

It’s Friday and that means another Thing of the Week. We come across a lot of interesting things throughout the course of the week, and they don’t always fit into our regular editorial content. Thing of the Week is the place for us to share those items, whatever they are, with you. Some of them you’d expect to find at Chubstr, while some you wouldn’t. You never know what you’ll find.

Dave Grohl Takes Over Sirius

In advance of the release of his documentary ‘Sound City,’ Dave Grohl is bringing it to a radio near you.  The show, Sound City, premiered on Classic Vinyl last night and will return next Thursday at 4 p.m. EST on the Classic Rewind channel. Click the link above to see a full schedule for the limited-run show.

Someone Like You Butterdance

Let’s just get this one out of the way. It’s… a butterdance? Set to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You.’ If anyone has any information on what exactly a butterdance is, or is supposed to be, go ahead and let us know. On second thought, never mind, let’s all put this one behind us as quickly as possible.

Nicolas Cage In Classic Films

Consider this our apology for the butterdance. Here’s Nicolas Cage added in to some of our favorite classic films. Improvement or no? You tell us.

Shiny New iTunes

Have you updated iTunes recently? (duh, we know the answer to that, we’ve ALL updated iTunes… too often) This time the update actually warranted visible results. That is, welcome to the world, iTunes 11. We kind of like you a lot. Could this be the beginning of the end of your relationship with Spotify or are you still not impressed? Let us know.
