Thing of the Week: Grenson Boots, Infinite Jest…and the Baby Bullet?

It’s Friday and that means another Thing of the Week. We come across a lot of interesting products, services, and ideas throughout the course of the week, and they don’t always fit into articles we’re writing for the site. Thing of the Week is the place for us to share those items, whatever they are, with you. Some of them are related to the things you’d expect to find at Chubstr, while some aren’t. You never know what you’ll find.

Grenson Fred Boot in BrownBruce’s Pick: I came across Grenson Shoes for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I find myself going back to the site every few days looking at 5 or so pairs I’d like to buy. My favorites are probably the Fred in honey (they also have tan and black). They’re big and they look good and I need a new pair of boots terribly. Here’s how Grenson describes them:

Fred is the boot version of Archie. He’s our biggest baddest boot and one that you wear if you don’t want to take any nonsense. Triple sole, oversized punching and nice big eyelets, Fred is all boot.

Grenson has shoes for just about every occasion, and they’re launching a women’s collection any time now. I see a few pairs of their shoes in my future.

Another Earth FilmBrandon’s Pick: Another Earth is incredible. It’s only in smaller theaters right now, as I saw it at The Moxie in Springfield, Missouri. Here’s the plot:

On the night of the discovery of a duplicate planet in the solar system, an ambitious young student and an accomplished composer cross paths in a tragic accident.

I highly recommend it if you’re able to find it at a theater near you.

The Baby Bullet by Magic BulletJessica’s Pick (By way of Bruce): Jessica was due to give birth to a bouncing baby girl a few days ago, but the baby tells us she isn’t ready to come out. Nevertheless, Jessica is kicking back and playing the waiting game, but she did tell me via text that she was interested in and a little confused by the Baby Bullet. It’s supposed to be for making organic baby food. You can see the happy little faces and all the cups that make it kid friendly. The confusion? Why would you buy the Baby Bullet when you could just buy the regular Magic Bullet?

If you’re sold on the Baby Bullet, you can get it here.
